Clive Dunn, Dad's Army's Lance-Corporal Jack Jones, passed away today in Portugal after complications from surgery earlier in the week. The British actor was 92.
Dunn starred in the beloved series which ran from 1968 to 1977, as well as many other screen appearances. Not only famous for the "don't panic" catchphrase, Dunn was also responsible for the 1970 chart topper Grandad, which just got a whole lot harder to watch. Celebs have taken to twitter to pay tribute, with the likes of Stephen Fry, Graham Linehan and David Baddiel all paying respects, Linehan tweeting "I love that he recorded this, then lived another 41 years". Dunn is survived by his wife Priscilla Morgan and two daughters, Jessica and Polly.
