He may be a big-shot Hollywood star these days, but Chris O'Dowd clearly hasn't forgotten his roots.

In fact, he's been spreading the gospel of the GAA to all and sundry, including Jimmy Fallon when he appeared as a guest on his show the other day. Well, sorta.

When Fallon asked the Roscommon actor whether he'd been watching the World Cup, he said that he had been, but was more of a fan of gaelic football as a kid - before going on to attempt to explain exactly what it is.

"It's played a lot by farmers and people from the countryside; it's very rural," he said. "Very rough, but beautiful - like a big wave, or having a statue falling on your nuts, or something."

Er, quite.
