The streaming service have announced a range of price hikes and some Irish users will be affected.

Irish users on the 2 and 4 screen membership plans will see their subscriptions increase by €1. The 2S plan will now cost €10.99 per month, with 4S rising to €13.99.

There is no change to the basic 1S (one screen) price of €7.99.

Existing members will learn of the increase from the 19th October and will be notified at least 30 days in advance.

"From time to time, Netflix plans and pricing are adjusted as we add more exclusive TV shows and movies, introduce new product features and improve the overall Netflix experience to help members find something great to watch even faster," the company said in a statement.

Netflix’s chief content officer Ted Sarandos recently told Variety that they planned to spend $7 billion (yes, billion) on content in 2018 so maybe we shouldn’t be that surprised.
