According to the Wall Street Journal, Netflix almost cancelled the hit show about a 1980s ladies wrestling group due to low ratings.

"There were serious conversations from the tech side pressuring the Hollywood side not to renew it for a second season," a source said. However, creative execs at Netflix defended the critically acclaimed series, which went on to be nominated for an Emmy, and insisted that it was important to remain on good terms with executive producer Jenji Kohan.

'GLOW' went on to be renewed for a second and now a third season and thank goodness for that.

Kohan has previously said that Netflix's initial marketing plan for 'GLOW', which pitted men against women, was to blame for season one's supposed low ratings (Netflix do not make ratings public).

Netflix responded to this at the time saying:" We are tremendously proud of GLOW, and were happy to bring it back for its award-winning second season and again for its upcoming third."

Season 2 finished up with the girls heading off for a show in Las Vegas so we're looking forward to seeing what divilment they get to there.
