A rumour was going around online that Netflix would no longer show 'Friends' from next year on.
A report last October said that Warner Bros were going to pull the series from all streaming services in 2019 as they planned to launch their own standalone service.
Additionally, over the weekend, customers spotted a notice on Netflix’s page stating that 'Friends' would no longer be available to stream from January 1st, 2019. Netflix has since removed the expiration notice from its website.
Turns out that the show isn't leaving Netflix US OR Netflix UK/Ireland anytime soon.
The Twitter accounts from both services confirmed the news.
Twitter US tweeted: "The Holiday Armadillo has granted your wish: Friends will still be there for you in the US throughout 2019."
Meanwhile Netflix UK & Ireland answered the question of a panic-stricken fan whether 'Friends' is leaving Netflix with the reply: "The One Where Friends is Going Nowhere, Don't Worry."

Mind you that doesn't mean it's totally safe. After all, 'Friends' could be pulled off the streaming service in the future. Netflix US has only guaranteed that the show will be available for one more year.
Stateside, the show has been available from January 2015. According to a data analysis from 7Park Data, it has been one of the most popular licensed shows on Netflix. It ranked in the top 10 of the most-viewed licensed TV shows for the 12 months ending in September 2017.
