The Oscar contender will tackle the role of the notorious monarch.
Fresh from high-profile roles in Call me by Your Name and Ladybird, Chalamat is heading to the small screen for his next role.
According to Entertainment Weekly he will star in The King, a Netflix production that follows a young Henry who reluctantly takes the throne in the 1300’s when his brother dies in battle.
Chalamat will join the likes of Kenneth Branagh and Laurence Olivier who have previously taken on Shakespeare’s version of Henry V.
The King will be written by David Michod and actor Joel Edgerton.
