Hasn’t she done well?
Still basking in the glow of her critically acclaimed performance in Ladybird, which continues to create Oscar buzz, Saoirse Ronan has been honoured with a new gig.
It was announced last night that the Carlow native would be hosting an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live, the historic American comedy show that launched the careers of the likes of Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and Eddie Murphy.
And it turns out there’ll be plenty of Irish accents around the studio that day to give her a bit of moral support. U2 will perform on the night to promote their upcoming Songs of Experience album.
This is how SNL they made the announcement:

The December 2nd show will have a distinctly Irish feel. We can’t wait.
