There's a new comedy/drama series coming our way on Sunday night.

Irish viewers who never had the chance of watching ITV's 'Quiz' last year will now be able to watch it on RTÉ One. Based on the real-life happenings of Charles Ingram, the miniseries will follow the story of how this man cheated his way to win £1 million on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?'.

Recorded in September 2001, Ingram managed to answer all 15 questions correctly to claim the top prize on the game show. However, his life came crashing down after the former British army major was accused of cheating his way to claim his big win.

In 'Quiz', the role of Ingram will be played by Matthew Macfadyen (Tom Wambsgans in 'Succession'), with Michael Sheen taking on the role of original TV host of the series, Chris Tarrant.

Kildare native Aisling Bea will also be appearing in the series, played the role of Claudia Rosencrantz, a British journalist and the former ITV commissioner of the series.

Sian Clifford from 'Fleabag' and 'Two Weeks To Live' will also heavily feature, as she plays Ingram's wife Diana - the "cougher" who guaranteed her husband's win.

As well as 'Quiz' arriving on RTE this winter, there is also another drama series which viewers might be interested in. 'The Investigation', based on a true story about the disappearance of a Swedish journalist Kim Wall, is available from this Friday on the RTÉ Player. From the co-creators of hit Danish drama 'Borgen', the series stars Soren Malling and Pilou Asbaek.

Here's the teaser for the 'Quiz' three-part series.

'Quiz' will air its first episode on RTÉ One this Sunday, January 24 at 9.30 pm.
