James Corden's latest episode of 'The Late Late Show' (from his garage) took a turn for the teary that no one saw expected. Then again, when it comes to 'Normal People', things are bound to get emotional.
The stars of 'Normal People', Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal, were challenged with putting chemistry into dialogue from random TV clips.
After all, they have such great chemistry when it comes to the series, which is currently showing on RTÉ and is available in the US on Hulu.
Edgar-Jones and Mescal had their own interpretation of the task though. They made the clips - which came from Guy Fieri learning how to make a hot mushroom sandwich; a 'Home Shopping Network' extract on jogging pants; and from 'Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares' - sound more emotional than electric.
Not that we're complaining - they still give you chills. And that's no easy task over zoom.
The last clip is particularly funny as Mescal barely holds it together.
Check it out.
