The much-anticipated interview hosted by Oprah Winfrey with guests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aired in the US last night.

The interview saw Harry and Meghan reveal the struggles they have faced being members of the Royal family, and having their lives constantly under public scrutiny.

There were a number of shocking revelations during the broadcast.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed that there was a point where she "just didn't want to be alive any more."

She felt unsupported and alone, rebuffed by the Royal Household when she tried to seek help.

Allegedly, the Duchess of Cambridge once made Meghan cry.

Harry also said that Prince Charles had stopped taking his calls, and that there had also been conversations about how dark their unborn child's skin would be.

In happier news, the couple revealed that they are expecting a girl.

With such harrowing revelations, people had a lot to say on Twitter.

The likes of filmmaker Ava Duvernay and Piers Morgan offered their views on the interview.

Here's more of what Twitter has been saying.

'CBS Presents Oprah with Meghan and Harry' airs on RTÉ Two at 9.30 p.m. tonight.
