TV productions are beginning to start up once again, albeit very cautiously.

'Line of Duty' season six is expected to begin production once again in late August. According to Deadline, the series' production company, World Productions, has set the week commencing August 24 as a potential restart date of the BBC's thrilling drama.

Forced to shut down while filming this past March, just one month after beginning filming up in Belfast, this new production date could potentially see the series end up back on our screens later this year.

The BBC's runaway success has already gifted viewers with five quality seasons, four of which are available to view on Netflix. The sixth season is set a year and a half on from the events of when we last saw special unit AC-12, and we'll rejoin Adrian Dunbar, Vicky McClure and Martin Compston as they get to grips with a new Detective Chief Inspector, played by Kelly MacDonald.

Dunbar previously informed Today FM that 'Line of Duty' season six would be returning to BBC later this autumn, however, this pause has likely shifted everything back a few months. We could see it return before Christmas, but a 2021 date could be more likely. Other BBC dramas 'Peaky Blinders' and 'Call the Midwife', which both paused production earlier this year, are both expected to arrive in November.

TV productions have slowly begun to pick up shooting once again in the past few weeks, or near future, thankfully. One such series, Apple TV+'s 'Foundation', which is being filmed in Castletroy, Limerick, is believed to recommence filming back in studio very soon too. Expecting to be the next big sci-fi series, the storyline is based on Isaac Asimov's series of novels.
