Leave it to Kyle MacLachlan to join TikTok just yesterday, and drop a glorious throwback for 'Twin Peaks' Day.

'Twin Peaks' Day, in case you don't know, is the day that FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper arrived at the town of Twin Peaks on the first episode back in 1989. On February 24th, Agent Cooper had no idea what was to come for him in the cult-classic TV series, and to honour the day that was in it, actor Kyle MacLachlan decided to break the internet with a recreation of his series opener.

Although it was cancelled after only two seasons, 'Twin Peaks' has remained high on countless lists of the best TV series' ever created. Fans were crying out so much for a return, that we actually did get one - 26 years after the final episode of season two aired on screens. Season three saw creators David Lynch and Mark Frost bring MacLachlan's character back to life, and the limited series' return was hailed as a fitting addition to the suspenseful drama.

Now, MacLachlan has only been on social media platform TikTok for just one day and has gained an impressive reaction for his throwback to our first introduction to Agent Cooper.

Hopping onto a stationary bicycle, with trees painted onto a piece of cardboard in the background, the actor mouthed the opening scene where he said: "Diane, 7:30 am, February twenty-fourth. Entering town of Twin Peaks. Five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. Never seen so many trees in my life."

Here's the full clip.
