The sun may not be shining here lately, but it sure is getting shady thanks to Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

If there's one comic who gets political comedy, it's Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Playing Vice President Selina Meyer in 'Veep' has taught the actor a thing or two about how to deal a heavy blow to an opponent - but this time her nemesis is the US President. And this isn't any sitcom either, this is real life shadiness.

The actor emceed the final night of the Democratic National Convention on US television screens last night, urging the American public to register to vote ahead of this November's monumental election. Louis-Dreyfus threw her support whole-heartedly behind Democratic candidate Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris, revealing her close relationship with the man. And it's safe to safe that she only had one target in her sights.

Donald Trump became the butt of many of the host's jokes, which included zingers that are sure to enrage the current president. The 'Seinfeld' star's unapologetic roasts included references to tear gas, the president's tax return, his golfing ability, his reading ability, and his inability to pronounce "foreign" names properly.

At one point, she even predicted what Trump would be calling her in a future tweet after he sees her coverage: "Tonight, I couldn’t be prouder to be a loyal union member, a passionate climate activist and a patriotic Democrat, or as Donald Trump will call me in a tweet tomorrow, a washed-up, horse face, no talent has been with low ratings.

"Well, with all due respect sir, it takes one to know one."

Expect The Don to tweet a retort very soon.
