The chat show and radio host saw the funny side of the live TV blunder.
It seems Alison Hammond shouldn't worry too much about her very live and very hilarious mistake on 'This Morning' from last week. During the unfortunate moment last Friday, this TV host asked about Graham Norton's dog - who has since passed away.
However, Graham saw the brighter side of the ill-timed inquiry and spoke about it during his first weekend on his new radio show. Having swapped from BBC 2 after 10 years on the airwaves, the entertainer has taken up a weekend show host at Virgin Radio.
Speaking about the incident on Sunday, Graham said: "Now, I meant to say this yesterday, big up Alison Hammond. She got so much flak for apparently, you know, being insensitive or upsetting me.
"Because I did 'This Morning' and she said, 'Oh, how’s your dog?' and I said, 'Oh it’s dead'. And I did it in a deliberate way to be awkward. And it was going to be funny. It was funny."
"And I think she found it funny and Dermot found it funny. I found it funny."
Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary are ITV's new hosting duo on Friday's edition of the morning show, following the departure of Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.
Hammond, of course, has been known for a string of live blunders on 'This Morning' over the years, such as that time she was forecasting the weather from Liverpool. While standing on a map of the UK, she was taking a jump over to Northern Ireland when this happened.
