After almost a decade, the return to the lives of 'Gavin and Stacey', and more importantly Smithy and Ness, was always going to stir up a lot of feelings (spoilers below).

Last night's Christmas special was mostly a trip down memory lane but ended with one hell of a cliffhanger that has left fans clamouring both for answers and a fourth series, which creators Ruth Jones and James Corden seem to be on for.

That cliffhanger? Ness going down on one knee and asking Smithy to marry her.

As you can imagine, that left fans very out of breath and feeling all sorts of ways about what should happen next.
