Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are out in the open for HBO's latest post-apocalyptic TV series.

Filming is underway on HBO's new series, and this past weekend we've been teased with a first look image from 'The Last Of Us' live-action adaptation.

Not giving too much away, as you can see in the teaser below, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are looking out at an open field, which has remnants of a plane crash on a distant hill. The actors, who play Joel and Ellie, are pictured with their backs to the camera, wearing backpacks and rugged clothing similar to their video game counterparts.

HBO's first look at 'The Last Of Us' arrives in the middle of filming of the first series of the survival thriller, which is currently shooting around Fort Macleod in Alberta, Canada. According to reports from earlier this year, the series could be one of the most expensive ever made, clocking in at $10 million per episode.

The series is based on the extremely popular video game franchise on the PlayStation consoles from developer Naughty Dog. A third-person stealth/horror experience, the game follows two survivors who must navigate a post-apocalyptic world avoiding hostile humans as well as zombie-like cannibals named The Infected.

The series will see Joel, a long-term survivor in this ravaged world, be hired to smuggle Ellie out of a quarantined zone - but the job turns sour and they both end up depending on the other to survive.

The two stars from 'Game of Thrones' (Pascal played Oberyn Martell, while Ramsey starred as Lyanna Mormont) will be joined in the series by Gabriel Luna ('Terminator: Dark Fate') as Joel’s brother Tommy; Nico Parker ('The Third Day') as Joel’s daughter Sarah; while Merle Dandridge ('Sons of Anarchy') will reprise her video game role of the leader of the Fireflies resistance group, Marlene.

The 10-episode first season of 'The Last Of Us' is expected to release at some point in 2022.
