Eve Hewson is set to join Eva Green for a BBC adaptation of Eleanor Catton’s Man Booker Prize-winning novel, 'The Luminaries'.
The novel is set during the gold rush of 1866 in New Zealand and follows a prospector who stumbles into a deep mystery involving twelve men in a remote town that's steeped in mystery. Hewson - who most recently starred in Showtime's period drama 'The Knick' alongside Clive Owen - is clearly a dab hand at period dramas alongside Green, who starred in the Dublin-filmed 'Penny Dreadful' alongside Timothy Dalton and Josh Hartnett.
Catton has adapted the novel for television, with Green praising the author's work in a release statement. "I loved her original novel and it’s so exciting that her own screen adaptation reveals yet more exquisite material," said Green.
Filming is set to commence in November, however no air date has been set as of yet for the series.
