Thank goodness he's got Miley Cyrus on hand, because this promo for this weekend's edition of the sketch show isn't giving us much hope.

This week, it'll be centibillionaire Elon Musk taking over as the host of 'SNL', with Miley Cyrus as the musical guest.

Musk is an interesting choice of host for a comedy sketch show, considering he has had no acting experience at all. Having said that, on occasion, stars who aren't actors sometimes knock it out of the park on the show. But by the looks of the promo for this week's episode, we're not going to be holding our breaths.

As you can see below, Elon Musk is joined by Miley Cyrus and 'SNL' regular Cecily Strong. This Sunday is Mother's Day on the other side of the world, and so there's a terribly basic joke about both of the guests being "good-ish" for the occasion.

Miley Cyrus has appeared on the long-running sketch show a number of times, either as the host, as musical guest, or as both. Her last appearance was during 2020 when a host-less show saw her cover Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' while the star was at home. Don't be surprised if the singer turned actor shows up in a couple of the sketches.

During the week, 'SNL' star Pete Davidson spoke of the "controversial" host being part of the series, to which he replied: "Everybody's kind of been like, 'Yo, who's the guy that's so pissed off?' Cause we're on a group text, so we're all just like, 'I don't know.' So, yeah, we're all excited and really don't understand the controversy."

Whatever happens this weekend, as least there'll be some form of a television show to watch, right?

Here's the Elon Musk 'SNL' promo for this Saturday night.
