We've got an official release date for the final season of the Northern Ireland-based comedy series.
While hopefully not offending anyone who loves the movie, our first exclusive clip from 'Derry Girls' season three sees the straight-talking Michelle (played by Jamie-Lee O'Donnell) compare Mel Gibson's William Wallace from 'Braveheart' to a drag queen.
And that folks, is why the series has been so eagerly anticipated.
The final season of the hit Channel 4 comedy series will arrive on our screens on Tuesday, April 12, meaning we've just two weeks of waiting until we're back with the rag-tag group of teenagers.
A teaser trailer for the upcoming series was released at the beginning of the year, showing off what looks likely to be another erratic return of the over-the-top characters. In the clip you can see below, the cast is in the local video store, deciding on which VHS to rent for the night.

The season will see the final return of Nicola Coughlan, Louisa Harland, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Dylan Llewellyn and Siobhán McSweeney to our screens.
Unfortunately for fans of Galway star Coughlan, the actor revealed that her role as Clare Devlin was reduced in season three due to scheduling conflicts with Netflix's 'Bridgerton' season two.
The long-awaited third season, created by Lisa McGee, faced a number of setbacks during 2020 and the beginning of 2021, with production finally picking up last year. International DJ Fatboy Slim is expected to make a guest appearance during the final episodes.
