One of the latest gimmicks used by X Factor this year is the Juke Box wheel which decides on the theme for each week's episode. It's usually brought out at the end of Sunday's show following the elimination. Fans have been pretty certain it's rigged though, especially considering how it coincidentally landed on Fright Night for Halloween weekend.

Host Dermot O'Leary, however, insists that it is not, he told Digital Spy; "Of course it's not rigged. People kept saying to me, 'Oh, it's fixed'... It's the most rudimentary hamster wheel you've ever seen in your life."

So now, it isn't rigged... Dermot would hardly to lie to us, would he?

He also commented on the controversial elimination of Gifty Louise on Sunday night; "She was just a bit upset. You can understand why! She's got a great voice. I don't think she expected to be [in the bottom two].

"She's really popular from the crew and the team and the house [audience]. The [audience] really loved her! I think we were all a little bit shocked… It's kind of impossible [to console the eliminees]. What are you supposed to say?

"You just hope they use the millions of people watching as a springboard and go on and do something with it. The amount of people I meet down the line who got to week three, four, five, six, seven and now they make music their career. So it is possible!

"They're not James Arthur coming back with a number-one album but they work in music for a living and, I think, if the show gives people that kind of springboard than we're doing our jobs."
