The Foo Fighters frontman is to take over our children's TV screens later this week for his first appearance on the BBC show.
It's just the tonic we need as the evenings begin to get just that bit longer this October - Dave Grohl sending us off to the land of nod on 'CBeebies Bedtime Stories'.
The rock star, who drummed for Nirvana, founded Foo Fighters, is a huge ABBA fan, and generally, an all-round nice guy who you'd want to be your very best friend, will be making his first appearance on the children's TV show this coming Friday, October 8.
Grohl is to entertain the little ones going off to bed with Ringo Starr's book, 'Octopus’s Garden'. Written by the former Beatles member, the book follows five children on a magical journey through an Octopus's garden as they go on an underwater adventure. The book is named after the famous Beatles' song from their album 'Abbey Road', which Starr wrote.
But that's not all, because he'll be back for a second appearance later this year, as he has recorded another separate book reading for the pre-school show.
Grohl says of his appearance on the children's show: "As a proud father of three, I’ve always enjoyed reading stories to my children. It was a pleasure to read these stories for CBeebies."
During his 'Graham Norton Show' appearance last Friday night, Grohl told a story about another former member of The Beatles, Paul McCartney when he came to his house to give his daughter a piano lesson.
Dave joins a long line of stars who have previously graced the 'Bedtime Stories' scene. Tom Hardy, Rene-Jean Page, Dolly Parton and George Ezra are some of the most recent guests on the show, as well as 'Loki' star Tom Hiddleston.
Tune into Dave Grohl on 'CBeebies Bedtime Stories' this Friday evening, October 8, on CBeebies at 6.50pm.
