'Clueless' is getting a spin-off TV series... again.
The '90s movie turned 25 this July and previously inspired a sitcom, also titled 'Clueless', which ran for two seasons from 1996 to 1999.
This latest is in development at Peacock, which is also behind the 'Saved By the Bell' reboot.
The series will centre on the character of Dionne, played by Stacey Dash in the movie and previous TV spin-off.
Writers Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey ('Will & Grace') and CBS TV Studios are behind it.
The show is being described as "a baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sunglasses-wearing, oat milk latté and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when the high school queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong No. 2 Dionne steps into Cher’s vacant Air Jordans.
"How does Dionne deal with the pressures of being the new most popular girl in school, while also unraveling the mystery of what happened to her best friend?"
The series has been in development since late last year.
Now that it has a home on NBC's streaming service, it should move forward quickly.
The original movie starred Alicia Silverstone as Cher. Other cast members included Paul Rudd, the late Brittany Murphy, Donald Faison and Breckin Meyer.
The new show will likely feature an all-new cast though you may see some familiar faces pop in for cameos.
