Rumours are rife that another classic TV is to do the in vogue thing and have a spin off/reboot/rebrand... whatever you wanna call it.
This time the sitcom Married with Children, which ran for a staggering 11 seasons from 1987, is being seriously looked at by the network for an aul rijig. Now, original stars Ed O'Neil, Katey Sagal and Christina Applegate are all still pretty successful... but Bud (David Faustino), hasn't been as lucky post 'Children' and was quizzed about the possibility of a new show on the red carpet of the premiere of Christina Applegate starring comedy 'Vacation' telling E! “they’re excited about it.” adding “The whole cast, including Christina, is down to do little bits in it.” We always liked you, Bud.
This means most likely the show would focus on Bud as we mentioned way back when, with maybe occasional appearances from the rest of the family.
For anyone of a certain age Married with Children was a mainstay on their tellybox, and it's hard to believe it's been almost 20 years since it has finished. That said, a show focusing on Bud would make sense if they could get the others to cameo occasionally - obviously the showrunner plays a huge part in tone also.
It'll be interesting to see how this one develops.
