Seven Irishmen who served with the British armed forces during the Second World War reflect on their period experiences during the conflict and after it ended. Featuring Derry native Harry Callan, a merchant seaman taken prisoner and forced to work on a submarine bunker near Bremen in horrendous conditions, Dubliner Jim Redmond, who became a tail gunner with the RAF and Jack Mahony of Kerry, who fought in Normandy but ended the war in a notorious PoW camp in Germany.
