With Nadal, Djokovic and Murray all out, Roger Federer is surely the favourite to lift his 8th Wimbledon trophy. It would be a fantastic achievement for a player that many had written off as too old and past it. Standing in his way is Tomas Berdych, the Czech player who has only ever reached one Grand Slam final before. Berdych had an easy match against an injured Djokovic so he should be well rested, but with Federer enjoying the form of his life, it will be a tough challenge.
The other semi-final sees American Sam Querrey take on Croatian Maric Cilic. For two years in a row Querrey has knocked out the defending champion, earning him a reputation as a giant slayer. He has never played in a Grand Slam, but now he might finally get his chance. Cilic is a former US Open champion and has more big match experience than his opponent which may make a difference when they get out on court.
