The last episode of the series features an actor most famed for his role in The Office, Martin Freeman. He traces his paternal roots (you'd think he'd be more intent on hunting down his career...), beginning by finding out if there is any truth in the story that his grandfather was killed while making a cup of tea at Dunkirk. He then delves farther back in time, enlisting the help of a genealogist to find a marriage certificate for his great-grandparents, and his investigation into the death of six of the couple's 12 children uncovers a dark and hidden chapter of social history.
