We're quite glad this only got three episodes. Why? Cause it was akin to a gurning dog chasing its own tail while chowing down on a discarded VHS of Moonlighting. In its quest to be both funny and dramatic, it manages to be neither. It tries too hard. Then again, maybe it's just me who doesn't find a montage scene in which ambulance men attempt to hoist an overweight suicide victim on to a gurney funny. In the event that is your thing; tonight the duo receive some unwelcome attention while investigating the abduction of a pop star. Jack frets after the lump he found prompts a worrying diagnosis, and Kate's husband tries to persuade her to start over by moving back to Bristol. This 'comedy drama', stars Toby Stephens and Lucy Punch, with Del Synnott (The Silence).
