Having aired in the States, the finale to David Lynch’s iconic series has already been met with much critical praise. It has been deemed ‘a mystifying, entrancing finish,’ ‘something very special’ and ‘as gloriously enigmatic as it needed to be.’ The show is a continuation of the 1990–91 series that garnered a cult following. It primarily centres on the character of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan). In this double-bill finale, Cooper arrives in Twin Peaks and drives 430 miles with and Diane (Laura Dern). He attempts to help a troubled woman who he believes to be Laura Palmer – whose ‘murder’ was where the show all began.
