Back in 2005, the Beeb commissioned Liberty Bell Productions to recreate the most popular comic novel of the Victorian era, Three Men in a Boat. Starring Griff Rhys-Jones, Rory McGrath and Dara O'Briain, the trio rowed and towed a boat from Kingston to Oxford. Now the trio are off on another adventure, this time along the Cornish coast, on a mission to make it to the Isles of Scilly to witness the spectacular bird migration. Yep, Dara O'Briain's well into this. In the first episode, the trio manage to crash into the harbour, climb aboard a super yacht, lose control of a tug, and have an encounter with a 19th-century cannon at Falmouth Sound. The second installment, which can be seen on Monday January 5th, sees Rory visit his birthplace and Griff explores Redruth's only working tin mine as they take time out on dry land before completing their journey to the Scilly Isles. There's no mention of Dara. He might've sloped off for a pint in the local.
