In this new episode of The Works Presents, which sees John Kelly meet key figures from the arts, Jesse Jones, Ireland's representative at the prestigious Venice Biennale, is interviewed. Jones is an artist based in Dublin who works across a wide range of forms and media and is interested in pushing and challenging the definitions of art. Her artwork for Venice Biennale, which she describes as “the world’s biggest shop window for art and artists”, explores the idea of “national representation at Venice as an alternative site of the state.” In her conversation with presenter John Kelly, she describes what is involved in preparing for the major international event.
