Ever thought your clothes had a secret life? Yes? Then you're crazy, now get the boat, that's not what this show is about. It IS about where all your unwanted clothes donated to charity shops go, the majority of which are exported to Africa, where a multimillion-pound industry has grown up around them. Ade Adepitan follows the trail of the cast-offs to Ghana, meeting people who making a living from the discarded garments, from wholesalers and markets traders to importers raking in a staggering £25,000 a day. He also discovers the damaging impact the imports have had on Ghana's traditional fashion style and indigenous textile industry, and visits one of its remaining factories. Crikey, would make you think twice about donating clothes really, but we'll just have to watch to find out more.
