The 51st International Rose of Tralee Selection, AKA 'Yer Summer Holidays Are Over, Kiddies!' Festival, will be broadcast live from the festival dome on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th August. This year Dáithí O Sé will present the televisual event for the first time and will interview 32 roses over the two nights. Last year a peak of 885,000 viewers tuned in to see Charmaine Kenny crowned as the 51st Rose of Tralee. The 26-year-old London Rose and Trinity College graduate is originally from Athy in Co. Kildare. Tune to find out which of the 32 Roses will be selected as the 52nd Rose of Tralee! As the event is being broadcast on RTÉ One on Monday and Tuesday evening from 8pm, there will be a not-at-all annoying break for the Nine O'Clock News. For those of you who missed the original airing of the rather amusing Shane and Victoria Grow Their Own, it's repeated afterwards at 11.20pm.
