Fans of British comedy, especially the classics, won't want to miss this. It sees multi-award-winning comedian, novelist, playwright and film-maker Ben Elton - whose credits include Blackadder, The Thin Blue Line and The Young Ones - deliver the inaugural lecture dedicated to the memory of the much-missed comedy actor Ronnie Barker, remembered from sitcoms such as Porridge and Open All Hours as well as long-running entertainment series The Two Ronnies. It will be introduced by Only Fools and Horses' David Jason, while there will be a star-studded audience in place as Ben talks about his love for the studio sitcom, its heritage and its importance, as well as recounting his first meeting with Ronnie and how the two became friends.
