This new four-part documentary series will be shown across the year as it looks at the birth of the pop music fan in the 1960s. This first episode sees Twiggy meeting music fans of that time, including a young Lonnie Donegan admirer who invited the singer back to a friend's house where they enjoyed an impromptu skiffle jam, and a schoolgirl whose dream came true when the Beatles turned up at the pub where her mother was a waitress.

There will also be some pop treasures unearthed including a recording of John Lennon’s first-ever recorded performance with his band The Quarrymen, at a fete in Liverpool on the day he met Paul McCartney for the first time – which viewers will see Twiggy listening to at the legendary Abbey Road studios.
