We're officially heading into pointless awards season - HUZZAH! Trevor McDonald hosts the 14th star-studded ceremony from the Royal Albert Hall as some of the biggest names on the small screen gather to hear the results of a nationwide poll for 10 categories, including new awards for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance and Outstanding Drama Performance, which pits David Tennant against his Doctor Who co-star Catherine Tate. Simon Cowell's chances look good, as Britain's Got Talent and The X Factor battle Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice. Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares takes on the BBC's Apprentice and Top Gear, while first-time nominees Alan Carr and Justin Lee Collins hope to beat Ant and Dec to the Entertainment Presenter gong (shouldn't be hard considering the Geordie boys haven't been seen this side of the Atlantic in quite some time). There is also a surprise for one famous guest who will be receiving the Special Recognition Award.
