Generally speaking, the Skyfest was always good fun when it took place in Dublin; but the local inner-city hood-rats too often took the event as not an occasion to bathe in the brilliance of being a Paddy, but to steal your wallet and generally accost you. So, in a welcome change of venue from the organisers, tonight's festivities are presented by Derek Mooney and the lovely Laura Woods, who anchor live coverage of a fireworks display over the River Suir, near Waterford, choreographed to a specially created soundtrack. The weekend should be event-filled to say the least, as it builds up to a sure to be action-packed Paddy's Day on Tuesday. Tonight's show features a performance by Kila, and is followed by the National Lottery draw.
