If you've finished House of Cards this weekend and you need something to ease your Kevin Spacey withdrawal, this is the film for you. Spacey plays David Gale, an anti-death penalty activist who, in a bizarre twist of fate, is accused of murder and sentenced to death. When tough reporter Kate Winslet is sent to investigate and cover the story, she uncovers truly unsettling. Directed by Mississippi Burning's Alan Parker, it's a tough watch in places but worth your time nonetheless.
