It’s the time of year again for that mad-cap spectacle of a show that is the Eurovision Song Contest. Before the final takes place on Saturday May 13th, two semi-finals will be taking place this week, the first of which airs tonight. The countries battling it out are Sweden, Georgia, Australia, Albania, Belgium, Montenegro, Finland, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Moldova, Iceland, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Armenia, Slovenia and Latvia. Ireland, represented by Brendan Murray, will compete in the second semi-final which airs on Thursday. Olexander Skichko, Volodymyr Ostapchuk and Timur Miroshnychenko host from Kyiv, Ukraine, with Marty Whelan in the commentary box.
