A couple of weeks ago, we saw Simon Reeve get to grips with just where all our lovely cups of tea come from. Now, in the second part of the documentaries, he moves on to the world of coffee. These days it almost seems unnatural to begin our day without a caffeine pick me up - with streets filled with people holding paper cups crammed full of the stuff in the mornings. But just where and how does the coffee bean get to us? Simon heads off to Vietnam - which is the UK's biggest supplier - where he meets some of the millions who grow, pick and pack the beans for instant coffee brands. It seems though, that while the growth of the coffee industry has made some people very rich, there are many others that it has come at a cost to.
