If you happen to find yourself awake at ten past twelve on a school night, you'll see some weird shit on TV. Case in point is The Box, directed by Richard Kelly of Donnie Darko fame. Cameron Diaz and James Marsden are an all-American couple in the '70s who are living a somewhat idyllic life, but are living beyond their means. When visited by a strange man, they're given an offer they can't refuse - if they press a simple button in a box, they will receive a cash payment of $1 million. The catch? Someone, somewhere will die. It's one of those films that will truly and utterly split people down the middle, so we'll put this qualifier on it - if you liked the weirdness of Donnie Darko, you'll love this. Otherwise, stay away.
