Often described as "serious", we've got it on good authority that John Waters can also be humorous at times. In this programme, he tells of his controversial interview with Charles Haughey and his wee disagreement with U2, all with tongue firmly placed in cheek. In 1988, while editor of Magill magazine, John's big story was the Gibraltar Three. At the height of the troubles three members of the IRA were on a bombing mission on the Rock of Gibraltar. In broad daylight, at a petrol station, all three were approached by the British SAS. They were shot dead at close range. John Waters wrote extensively on the shootings and the subsequent inquest.
