It's the equivalent of the Oscars for the TV world where all your favourite American TV shows battle it out for the prestigious awards. The ceremony itself took place in LA last night and was hosted by actor and comedian Andy Samberg. Game of Thrones, Mad Men and House of Cards lead the way in the hotly contested drama category, while Transparent does battle with five-time winner Modern Family for the comedy crown. Julia Louis-Dreyfus will be eyeing up her fourth consecutive win as comedy lead actress for her role in Veep, and Mad Men's Jon Hamm - the most-nominated drama lead never to win - will be hoping his luck will change as he comes up against House of Cards' Kevin Spacey, The Newsroom's Jeff Daniels and Ray Donovan's Liev Schreiber. Given it was the last ever Mad Men series though, we're thinking Hamm has it in the bag.
