This is the history of the BBC's Television Centre in Shepherd's Bush, London, which opened in June 1960 and went on to become the home of some of the Corporation's most famous programmes, including Top of the Pops, Blue Peter, Newsnight, Later with Jools Holland, Tomorrow's World and Live & Kicking. The film features memorable moments from shows recorded at the Centre, as well as contributions from staff and stars who worked there, including David Attenborough, Terry Wogan, Angela Rippon, Matt Baker, Zoe Ball, Greg Dyke, David Frost, Joan Bakewell, Esther Rantzen, Barry Norman, Sarah Greene, Penelope Keith, John Craven and Johnny Ball.
