This gardening series sees five budding garden designers compete for a coveted show garden spot at Ireland’s premier garden festival, Bloom 2017. This week, the youngest entrant in the competition, Callum Sheeran Purcell from Wicklow, aged only 22, hopes his Bamboombox party garden – designed for, bless him, his heavy metal loving granny Helen O’Gorman – will earn him a place in Bloom. His new design must be planned and produced to a specific set of budget and time constraints. The judging panel includes Bloom show manager Gary Graham, Bloom gold medallist Leonie Cornelius and garden design lecturer Monica Alverez.
