There are a couple of movies for the tween, or child in your life on this afternoon, whilst you either bask in the glory of an Irish win, or go to the bathroom to ball your eyes out, so the kids don't think Daddy has forgotten to neck his happy pills. This one stars the ridiculously fit Missy Peregrym (her from funny E4 show Reaper), as a ballsy teenager, who is forced to return to elite gymnastics training when she gets on the wrong side of the law. There she is coached by Jeff Bridges' stringent taskmaster, as the group go for national gold, despite the many politics of the gymnastics world. Writer/director Jessica Bendinger was actually a gymnast herself, so it's pretty accurate stuff apparently. It's also good fun, and may encourage the youngster in your life to take up a hobby that doesn't involve a joypad. For those looking for something even lighter, Garfield: The Movie is on over on UTV at 3.45pm.
