About time. The Beeb have come across with a tribute to the comedian who brought the world such memorable characters as Alan Partridge, Paul and Pauline Calf, Tony Ferrino and Tommy Saxondale, and who is now carving out a career in Hollywood... by all accounts. Mark Williams narrates a semi-serious documentary, featuring classic archive moments and rarely seen early appearances, plus interviews with some of Coogan's best-known collaborators. Contributors include Rob Brydon, Victoria Wood, Ben Miller and Simon Greenall, and there are specially filmed sketches starring Coogan, Julia Davis, Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. They will appear in several guises to give the inside scoop on what it's like to work with Coogan - while Steve himself appears as his Irish auntie Peggy and Mickey Gold - his first showbiz agent. Knowing Me, Knowing Yule - a Festive Special With Alan Partridge from 1995 then airs at 10.00pm.
