Aidan Power, Des Cahill and Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh are wheeled out to present coverage of one of the parades, that being the one in Dublin. A short story by Roddy Doyle provides inspiration for the parade to celebrate Ireland's literary heritage, with different chapters interpreted by leading pageant companies. World Boxing Champion Katie Taylor leads the way as this year's Grand Marshal. If you can't make it to the festival in person RTÉ are broadcasting two of the centrepiece events and a full St. Patrick's Festival highlights programme (at 11.35pm *hics*) so you won't feel like you missed any part of the festival fever. As for the rest of the Paddy's Day televisual entertainment we have The Quiet Man at 5.25pm on TG4, Around the World in 80 Days at 3.30pm pm RTE1, and Tropic Thunder at 9.35pm.
