Based loosely on the true-life rivalry between Niki Lauda and James Hunt, Rush is Ron Howard's foray into the world of Formula One racing and sports drama. Pitting pretty boy Chris Hemsworth as the swaggering Hunt against the restrained Daniel Bruhl as the methodical Lauda is a genius bit of casting, as is the use of period music such as Thin Lizzy, Spencer Davis Group and David Bowie. The racing sequences are taut and exciting, with a furious pace throughout. Definitely worth a watch.
