The actor spends 10 days visiting HMP Barlinnie in Glasgow, one of the oldest and toughest prisons in the world. Arriving in handcuffs to get a feel of life behind bars, he is given unprecedented access to this Victorian prison, working with convicts in the kitchen, joining a security team searching the cells for drugs and being confronted by an arsenal of home-made weapons.
