After 10 successful years living in Boston and having set up her own house cleaning business, Elaine Mitchell made the decision to come back to the ole sod with her earnings and buy the local pub in her home town, Legan, Co. Longford. On the outside, the pub appears to be a well finished, spacious, fully functional premises for Elaine to live and work in. However on further inspection the layout is like a puzzle, a disjointed jigsaw which Dermot will have to make sense of. A ladder is needed to access one of the bedrooms and none of the windows overlooks the attractive south-facing garden. Dermot has a budget of 80,000 euros, but owner Elaine Mitchell proves a challenge as she desires clean, practical living, and he has to work hard to persuade her to accept any surface she cannot wipe down.
